Wireless communication site development and installations

The Alpha-Beta Group is a Canadian business located in Canada's national capital, Ottawa.  It was founded in 1990 and was comprised of two major divisions:  Property Management and Wireless Communication.

Property Management

The main focus was on residential property management targeting the foreign diplomatic community and employees of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development , DFAIT as well as the Canadian military employees working at the Department of National Defense, DND being typically posted abroad for years at a time.  The Alpha-Beta Group provided conventional property management services including repairs, renovations, landscaping, tenant placement services, as well as financial and legal services as required.

The Canadian High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria and the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa, Canada were closed between 1996 - 1998  because of a diplomatic dispute between those two countries.  During this time, the Alpha-Beta Group provided complete management services for the properties belonging to the Nigerian government, including the High Commission in Ottawa, the ambassador's residence as well as the 10 single residential homes used by the diplomatic staff of the Nigerian High Commission.  During this period, the residential houses were renovated, upgraded and rented. The High Commission was re-opened briefly and staffed by the Alpha-Beta Group after Sani Abacha, the former general and leader of Nigeria died in June, 1998.  During this time,  the Alpha-Beta Group opened a condolence register in the High Commission on behalf of the Nigerian government and then continued to look after all Nigerian properties until the High Commission finally re-opened.

Wireless Communication
During its early days, the Alpha-Beta Group provided wireless infra-structure installation services to communication companies located throughout Eastern Ontario and beyond.  This included everything from antenna and transmission line installations to communication tower installations and complete communication site development.  The high demand for wireless communication infrastructure development required by the wireless communication industry necessitated changes to the business structure of the Alpha-Beta Group.  In 1996 the property management division was  faded out, additional staff was hired to help with wireless communication and the Alpha-Beta Group became a federally incorporated company known as the Alpha-Beta Communications Group Inc.
